Washing hands the best defense against H1N1

Actually, the mask does not help not all.

Instead of protecting us form the flu virus, it can make us fall sick. Why? Because if we are not sick and we wear the mask, our breath containing carbon dioxide, water vapour and other kinds of bacteria would get trapped in the mask. And so when we breathe in the air, we also breathe in the bacteria from the mask.

Even if we are sick, the mask still won’t help us because when we breathe, we breathe in from the mask the bacteria that we’ve breathed out and we will become sicker.

Prevent

So it is best not wear the face mask but instead strengthen our immune system by eating a balanced diet and drinking honey with warm water every morning.

Another way is to wash our hands wit soap and water. Avoid public places such as cinemas and children’s play centres. Also avoid gatherings and travelling.

We get germs from trolley handles, toilet flushers, doorknobs and toys and items on display such as beds at furniture stores, balls at children’s play centres, etc.

Always remember to wash your hands after coming back from public places, before and after eating, after handling tissues or handkerchiefs, and after playing with pet. There is a special procedure for washing our hands with soap. It is very simple and effective.

Just wet your hands and squirt the soap onto your palms ,rub palms together, ru fingers and sides together and you’re done!!! If you’re eating at public places where there aren’t any sinks for washing your hands, just use a few drops of hand sanitizer. It has the same effect as washing our hands.

To be on the safe side, bring a little bottle of hand sanitizer or wet tissue with your wherever you go.
